Tech Trends on the Rise Since COVID-19

Jul 2, 2020 9:30:00 AM

Recently, SiliconANGLE writer Paul Gillin posted an article about seven tech trends that are emerging and accelerating based on the COVID-19 pandemic. The list included things you might expect, like telemedicine, as well as other well-known topics that are now becoming more of a priority -- think open software and zero-risk security.

Gillin also included topline details regarding an upcoming Forrester Research report that focuses on a separate list of four tech areas, including chatbots and contact centers. Forrester isn’t the only one predicting the growth in this space, however. The article also tells us that the global chatbot market is expected to grow nearly 30% annually to $9.4 billion by 2024. Since the contact center is our specialty and our passion, we’ll continue to stay focused on enhancing our Huddle platform and our intelligent, machine learning-powered bot, Hammond, to ensure we are delivering truly innovative, intuitive, and effective solutions as the demand for such services increases.

And because we’re customers too, we really want to help the contact center space evolve and thrive, so all customers (us included) can get the service they need from employees who have access to the best tools, platforms, and support. We are invested and excited to see this industry grow.

If you’re curious about the other tech trends Gillin has identified, you can read the full SiliconANGLE piece here.
