The start of our year was busy with building, perfecting, innovating, creating, and polishing the perfect cloud-native solution--Edify Huddle. On March 18, we officially launched our global business communications platform at Enterprise Connect in Orlando, FL. What an exciting week!
In May, we exhibited at ICMI Contact Center Expo in Hollywood, FL. Our team attended the ICMI Global Contact Center Awards Party where Edify CEO Cameron Weeks had the honor of presenting Dorel Juvenile and Safety 1st with the award for ‘Best Digital Customer Experience’. In August, Cameron Weeks was named a Top Technology Leader on the ICMI Customer Experience Movers & Shakers List! We also rolled out the first annual Edify cookie bake-off. Our video production specialist took home the gold (pro-tip: brown the butter before adding to your batter).
We participated in Destination CRM’s Customer Support Transformation webinar this September and discussed how AI bots can improve the CX, why multichannel isn’t enough, and why your contact center must be tied to the rest of your organization. Edify also received the 2019 Contact Center Technology Award from CUSTOMER Magazine.
Conference season was slowing down, but it wasn't over yet. Members of our team traveled to Texas for Customer Contact Week Austin in September. Both the event and the local barbecue was fantastic. Check out all the fun we had! Shortly after, we officially announced Candace Sheitelman as our new CMO.
Our big funding announcement went public on October 1st. It was a huge day for all of us! Edify raised $10 Million in seed funding, making the investment one of the 4 largest in the U.S. and one of the 10 largest seed rounds globally for 2019. We celebrated with an amazing event at Top Golf in Fishers, IN, inviting our colleagues and friends from all over the country to join us for the celebration. Live music, good food, and great company made for a memorable evening.
Right before Halloween, we exhibited at ICMI Connections Chicago. We had a great time meeting people from all over the country, seeing our colleagues, hosting our vendor table at lunch, and showing off Huddle in too many demos to count. Our CEO, Cameron Weeks, spoke to a packed house on why omnichannel matters and why it matters now. He also accepted his award at the show for being named a top technology leader on the ICMI Customer Experience Movers & Shakers list.

Just last month, lots of people tuned into our live demo webinar as well. The team reflected back on a very busy and very fun year with gratitude and enjoyed a pitch-in style Thanksgiving.
We gathered together, somewhat virtually, this December--near and far--to celebrate Edify’s birthday (we're experts in unifying scattered teams and communications)! And, in case you didn’t catch it, Cameron Weeks joined Customer Contact Week’s executive roundtable webinar to discuss everything from AI to analytics and how innovation will impact the contact center of 2025. It’s worth tuning in to if you didn't already.
